From the walls of Spaco to “Electoral Commissioner”

Since tomorrow is the day set aside for the district level election in Ghana, I would like to take the opportunity to encourage readers to participate in our Democratic dispensation which will bring development in our communities and perhaps, celebrate one of our own who is at the echelon of the Electoral Commission.

Mr. Eric Kofi Dzakpasu is the current Deputy Regional Director of the Electoral commission in the Volta Region. He was formerly the Head of Communication at the Electoral Commission’s Head Office. He has served in various capacity at the electoral commission, spanning two decades.

He is an astute professional and a revered member of the Old students association. Mr Dzakpasu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Services from the University of Cape Coast.

A statement from the EC website when he was appointed as Head of Communication, described him as a man with vast operational excellence’s experience and it reads; “Mr. Dzakpasu emerged as the top candidate for the role after a highly competitive, and thorough internal recruitment process. He brings substantial field operational experience and sound knowledge of electoral laws and processes to the role, having served the Commission for a total of 20 years. “

A big congratulations to Mr. Dzakpasu for lifting high the banner and the dignity he brings in his professional life which represents the true Spacan. Conqueror Ayekoo!!
